This is the cut of Wish You Were Here when they all are being chased by fans and then they jump off a bridge. This song was edited to be only performance footage of the band against black and white backgrounds because apparently they were told it might not be a good idea to show them jumping off a bridge considering 9/11 had just occurred. Thus, the Director's Cut was never aired. However, it showed up on the Morning View Sessions DVD. I like this video, but I never understood why Brandon takes off his shirt before he jumps in.

Yeah, it is kind of random that he takes his shirt off. I didn't really like the Director's Cut version of the song, only because I felt like it was a boy band video. The girls chasing them and such was really not necessary.

Haha yeah, that's what alot of people gripe about. I think it's funny though. And it's a pretty good representation of the band at the time in that sense. MV was their biggest blow up. I'd chase Incubus if a crowd was doing it too. Haha.

The "Making-Of" is really cool too. However, I saw the video first and didn't really second-guess how they did the "under the bridge falling" pictures. After I saw the "Making-Of" though, and saw the trampoline thing, I noticed it was a pretty corny special effect.

I love when it shows them jumping on the trampoline. They are all so funny. And I always thought that it was cheap that they used someone else's body as Brandon's torso in the underwater footage. It's ok though, still cool.

The director's cut is quite funny.
You're askin why Brandon took his shirt off...obviously - you're not girls  that's the whole reason, I suppose.
Just look at the youtube comments:
"omigod omigod he's sooooooooo hot!" etc.
Blah, even though I'm a girl, I don't react like that. :P

Haha. Yeah, girls who don't freak out everytime they see Brandon's abs are definitely the more down-to-earth Incubus fans. That's one of the things I like about my girlfriend. She doesn't do that. It makes me quite happy to know she isn't an immature person who says "I think I have a chance with a celebrity". Love that about her.
Sorry, off topic. Mermaids saving the boys is probably one of the most hilarious parts.

I personally like the non-director's cut version better. It was fun watching the guys goofing off in the Morning View house. It relates to the meaning of the song better; if I was drowning in a river, I wouldn't really be wishing that someone was there to share the moment with me, ya know? And the Morning View house has that nice peaceful quality to it, so it just fits better.
I too found it funny that Brandon took his shirt off (in slow motion too), but mostly for the fact that no one else did. I think they ALL should have taken their shirts off. That would have been so cool.
