For those of you who don't know, Incubus' manager is Steve Rennie.
Aside from being an amazing band manager, he also frequently posts on the incubusonline forum and speaks to the fans himself.
I met him in Atlanta in January.
About 25 fans were standing by the tour buses before the show waiting for the band to come out, and Steve Rennie walked out of the building. I knew it was him, but no one else did (or they didn't know him at all), and I said "Steve!" He looked over and was totally surprised because he got recognized. He walked over to me and said "Hey, how do you know me?" and I told him I was just a really big fan that knew a lot more than I should. He asked me my name and who we all were waiting for. We talked for a bit and when everyone realized that he was an important guy, they all crowded around him.
He stayed outside and talked to the fans for about 30 mins. He really is such a cool guy.
Has anyone else met him?
I think he deserves more respect than he gets.

I know that Rennie is an absolutely amazing manager 
I envy you that you had that possibility to meet him.
I just waved him happily in Berlin, beacuse he was too far to talk to him.

Yeah, Rennie seems like a cool guy. Until I knew who he was, I thought he was just a worker at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Anyone know how he got to be their band manager or how he's related (if at all) to someone in Incubus?

I met him at Edgefest. Was backstage and saw him. I kind of walked by security (who was pushing us out) and said "hi steve, I just needed to meet you" and we sat and talked for a bit and he gave me a hug.
I love him.

i met him while on the side of the building waiting for a cab after a concert. i recognized him and said 'hey steve, you're great'--he gave me that great big smile and said hey--'hey thanks, so are you' and walked away. it was the icing on top of the cake for the night.
i think he gets pretty good credit for what he does. true fans recognize him and know him and let him know how appreciated he is.

...I had a very bad experience.... I told you that i met incubus when they came to mexico city. I won the pass on a radio satation. The fact is that he didn't let us as mexican fans have the signature of all of them..(i didn't get anyone)... he just leave us about 10 minutes there and then take us out!.. it was bad.. but i got a very very good remember about brandon: i give him mu booglet so he can sign it, so a security man tel mme that he won't sign me anything. Brandon just smiled at me and gave me back my booglet and I thought he got mad with that guy. (Everything was in spanish so brandon couldnt undertand) So he just maked me a face like: I don't understad anything! what happened! ... but immediatley they make us leave...
Maybe the manager got mad about the bad organization that the radio station had at the show, and that's how he reacted, but it also promised to send us posters with each member siganature... one yaer and a half has passed and i don't have any poster....
I really got mad with him... so, if someone of you can ask him the reason he did'nt let us be there more.. please! ask him!!!

Bassgirl, you should go to the Incubus website and try sending Rennie a message about your poster/experience. I'm sure if you did that, he would remember and send you it. And if not, I'm sure it's just in bad luck. You'll be able to meet them again I'm sure.
