Here's a story I felt was necessary to share..
So, not last Incubus Day (4/21), but the one before it, I went to a massage salon where I live to get my dad a gift card. And, being that it was Incubus Day, of course I have one of my Incubus shirts on. I'm waiting at the desk and one of the women who worked there was looking at my shirt. She said, "Let me see your shirt," and I showed her (thinking that she mistook it for a different shirt) and she said, "Oh, I dated him in High School." and pointed to Brandon. So non-chalantly, like it was nothing. At first I didn't believe it, and I asked what middle school they went to and she said A.E. Wright, which was right. What High School? Calabasas. I was in shock. I asked her what her name was: Amy Levine. She told me that they dated when they were 14 and she broke up with him because he was too "needy." She went on to say that he had hair down to his shoulders and he was quite skinnyand that he was always a little bit "out there", a little "different. Uhh, YEAH HE'S AN ARTIST, HES A GENIUS. She said that they were a huge local band (she used to watch them practice, and go to their shows), but she had no idea they were that big (this was the time of Crow). I thought she had been living under a rock. She told me she had just recently moved here from Calabasas and I asked her if she knew Jose. She said oh yes, and I asked her if she knew Mikey and she said "Oh yeahhh, Mikey, he's great, I actually still talked to him a lot before I moved from California." The thing was, she looked like the kind of girl Brandon would be with. I couldn't believe it. In my little town, what a small world..
And on Incubus Day... it was a sign.
P.S. She told me that they had even put her name in the "Thank You" section of Fungus Amongus. I looked, and sure enough, there it was. It's near the end, it says "Amy and Amy." I guess she wasn't lying..

my coolest one; which is still pretty cool i think; was me driving around last year on incubus day blasting incubus when a car pulled up next to me was blasting 'make yourself' as well.
i was just singing but he was freaking out. and he looked over at me and did the whole rock on thing and screamed 'happy incubus day'. it was pretty cool considering i can barely find any people in the regular world who love them like that!

Wow, that's amazing. No matter who you are or where you are, if you find another Incubus fan, you automatically have a connection with them. Especially if they know what Incubus Day is!

I felt dumb this year because I completely forgot it was Incubus day and I didn't even do anything special. Oh well.

No just kidding, I don't smoke. But if I did, I'll bet it would be a good reason. It just didn't occur to me until later that night and I was just like "shit."
