Brandon's sophomore book.
Much different than white fluffy clouds.
More writing and different style of art.
Though different from White Fluffy Clouds, it still amazes me.

Anyone else have the privilege of owning it?

Not yet, but I want it really bad.  I didn't know if I would like either book though because I would be more interested in Brandon's poetry and writings than his artwork, which I've heard is the majority of the book.  Although his artwork is beautiful, I would enjoy reading his written work outside of Incubus.

Well if you like his writings, then get this one rather than WFC. Much more writing in it. But WFC has some amazing poems in it as well. Shit, it's a toss up.

you're so lucky, you're able to buy it

In Europe it's hard to get. Maybe ebay, but I haven't robbed any bank yet.

Ebay usually has it, but no matter how you get it, it is well worth the buy.

definetly worth it.  i have hundreds of books and these two are my most favorite in my collection.
Posted:  11 Jun 2007 02:00
twotrickpony, which is your favorite book of the two? Also, which passages, poems, artworks etc. are you partial to?

I have never gotten the chance to discuss the books with anyone!

me neither.  people i even try to show them to are like; yah that's cool.whatever.
i'm at work at the moment and don't have the books on me but will love to share my fave passages later on.
i like murks a lot more because it has real depth and soul to it.  defintly can see brandon's many sides and 'murks of his sultry abyss' so to speak.  but it seems more personal and the photographs are amazing--you can tell what he picked to put in there are very special to him.  he has amazing cameras.

I'd like it if you shared one of the passages.  Maybe...because then maybe it would make me want it more.... =\

Unfortunately, all of the passages are multiple pages long, and the ones that are shorter wouldn't really be worth typing out because they aren't the best ones in the book. I'm sorry. Would you like some passages from White Fluffy Clouds? Those are pretty brief..

twotrickpony, don't you love the passage in FTMOTSA about Brandon crying on the plane when he was watching the kid's movie. That cracked me up. He is an amazing writer.

Quite a mind indeed.  I wonder if it comes to him naturally or if he had to develop something like that.  I guess over time it would be pretty subconscious, but at first, I wonder.

since none of you are online at the moment and i'm bored at work i brought my book so i'll share just a little expert to tide you over.
"Upon leaving London today, bound for Vienna, Austria, I was paying particular attention to the clouds.  that, and how wonderfully green and overgrown England is.  As my plane ascended through the scattered pocets of fluff, I noticed that everytime we passed over a cloud a small but identifiable shadow of a plane appeared.  And surrounding it was a beautiful, orb shaped rainbow.  I've never seen a rainbow encompass a shadow before.  It's funny the things you notice once you start paying attention"  b.b. 05/24/05

and on the other side of the page is is an amazing intense picture drawn of an eyeball.

noticethelotus was right the others are really long...so you'll just have to get the book!

I love how observant he is. I consider myself pretty observant, but ther is no way I could document it like he does.

oh wait; yes he does

That's really cool.  I try to notice things like that in life, but it's really hard to catch things unless you're really immersed in it.

Read the thread and find out.

Seriously...every post in this thread is about the book.  I'm sure you can scrounge up a little bit of impression about it.
