I write and sometimes I find it hard to continue with my creative niche. I can come up with a hot song tomorrow and a week later I can't come up with anything at all. And it bothers me. I can't become an artist when I can't even continue to collective create.

This should probably go in the Writers corner, but I have the same problem as an artist. I will draw non stop for about 3 months, then for the next 3 months, I can't draw for the life of me.

I get that when I play guitar.  I'll listen/play along with alot of already-made music, and I'll be able to come up with some ideas based off of things I hear, and I'll write something pretty good, but then a day later...nothing.

I also have a little trouble because, to find inspiration, I turn to Incubus and Brandon and Jose's art. Though it inspires me, my artwork mimics their style, when I want to create my own.

you know, you're still learning to create your own style. Every great artist in this world did, does and will do so.

I'm pretty sure that musicians, writers, painters have problems with their inspiration.

Once I knew a guy that had a writing routine. He sat, wrote from 8 in the morning till 4 in the evening. Believe me - he was no good

Yeah, I definitely don't think forcing creativity helps it flow at all. But it is frustrating when you go months at a time with out being able to produce a thing.

Yeah I dont know how i find inspiration but I do know that I stop writing for a while and let my experiences kind of collect a while.

Why don't you post somethings in the Writer's Corner?

Yeah, but practice only makes perfect.  Especially with guitar.  You can have alot of guitar theory in your mind, and taking some time off to build up your mental guitar theory is good, but you only get better by playing physically, trying out new things, and working out your fingers.  Finger strength is a must.

Very very true.  I actually gained some finger speed playing that game.  I wanna get the 3rd one when it comes out this year.

I've written my fair share of poems and such.  I think you take each day as a new experience.  With each experience, you have something to write.  Some days give you multiple experiences to pour your heart with pen and paper.  Whether it be hate, fear, love, tears, joy, acceptance, anguish or whatever other thoughts running through your head, put it to paper.

My brother once told me when he writes, it just sounds too basic.  I told him he's thinking too much.  Don't think about writing lyrics, but writing about life, love and the pursuit of living each day to its fullest.
