really have a favorite album?
I mean, people ask me all the time: What's your favorite Incubus CD, or song.
I may say S.C.I.E.N.C.E. one day or Make Yourself the next, but the truth is, I couldn't ever choose.
I think that the true Incubus fans find something genuinely amazing in each and every album, and listen to them all equally.

Morning View. By far. So smooth. So completely on point. Best album ever.
As far as song though, I really don't know. It's a tie between alot of songs. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Cheers.

Indeed it is. Even the atmosphere it was written/recorded in is just as chill and amazing as the record itself. Which I guess isn't too surprising. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Cheers.

How do you feel about S.C.I.E.N.C.E.? (Maybe this should go in the Album thread?) __________________9.30.04

My favourite? Probably Morning View;
every album has its own style, I'm sure you have noticed that. Each album is similar in between songs, but it totally differs when comes to comparing to some other album. __________________-do you always talk to the refrigerator?

Ehh, I disagree. A Crow Left Of The Murder and Light Grenades had such vast difference between songs, and especially Light Grenades. Even Morning View, between all of the relaxing, atmospherical tunes, there was Blood On The Ground, Under My Umbrella, and Circles for some heavy hitters. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Considering the difference between Under My Umbrella and Aqueous Transmission, I agree. __________________9.30.04

You notice the difference, because you're a fan and you know every possible song they recorded.
My parents, for example, don't know particular songs. But when I play songs from S.C.I.E.N.C.E or from LG - they don't know the titles, but they say "oh, this is science isn't it?" or "it sounds like LG"
Try to do this. Don't listen to "songs" just to the music.
I'm not trying to denay that aqueous transmission doesn't sound like under my umbrella. __________________-do you always talk to the refrigerator?

Yeah bassgirl, you're right. There's always one little thing about an album that always makes me want to listen and then when I pop it in, I start to remember how good of a cd it is. For example, in Light Grenades, I love the transition between Quicksand and A Kiss To Send Us Off. It sets the album off right and makes it such a great cd to listen to through. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Cheers.

im a big fan of the S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Make Yourself era. they just rocked out with the slap bass and heavy guitar. and i love how brandon boyd uses his voice and the way he sings on those albums. but morning view was a beautiful album as is light grenades. a crow left of the murder, to me at least, seemed much different with all the political references but still and outstanding album. i love everything incubus and cant say i have a favorite album becuase i have too much respect for all the albums to simply pick one. i really enjoyed the when incubus attacks vol. 2 dvd though. that dvd is off the hook.

Crow is definitely the outcast out of all the albums. It has a very different guitar sound, but I like it. __________________9.30.04

I just think that Morning View describes who the band is the most. It's diverse, yet still similar to their roots. It's got rock, but it's also really calming and relaxing. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Cheers.

Morning View is the epitome of a California, chill, surfer album, which is exactly what they are. It describes a really big part of them, but I think some of the older albums have more of the real Incubus when it comes to lyrics. __________________9.30.04

I'm actually starting to like ACLOTM alot more every time I listen to it. I didn't really know if I liked it as much as MY, MV, or SCIENCE, but now I think it's up near the top again.
Only problem is, I can't really rank albums as much as songs. One of these days, I'm going to put together a list of all the Incubus songs I have and rank them in order from most to least plays, and then by personal favorite. It was done on the IOV board but I never had a chance to do it. __________________Please try to stay on topic. Cheers.

I really enjoy Morning View as well, WillingWell. It seemed to reflect the rise of their wakening....its certainly not hard to notice the socially, spiritually conscious lyrics (still mixed with your raw emotion here and there) and the most melodious chords! It was like a water slide, serene at the end
